Sarah Vita, LMFT

Healing happens when you feel truly met.

I'm Sarah, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, EMDR-trained clinician, and certified Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy provider. My path into this work began with yoga, where I first learned how deeply the body holds what the mind cannot yet speak.

My style is warm, holistic, and grounded in compassion. I draw from evidence-based modalities and integrate them in ways that honor your unique story, never one-size-fits-all. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship patterns, or a sense that something just feels stuck, you'll find a space that is steady, non-judgmental, and deeply human.

LMFT EMDR Trained KAP Certified IFS Informed Yoga Instructor

Evidence-based, soul-informed.

Every client brings something different. I draw from four interconnected modalities, chosen based on what your nervous system needs, not a prescribed script.

01 · Reprocessing

EMDR

When painful memories still feel "stuck," EMDR helps your brain reprocess them in a safe, supported way. Many clients feel relief from the emotional weight of trauma and begin to move forward with more freedom, calm, and presence.

For: PTSD · single-incident trauma · recurring difficult memories · phobias
02 · Body-based

Somatic Therapy

Trauma and stress don't just live in the mind, they live in the body. Somatic therapy helps you tune in, release held tension, and restore a sense of balance so you can feel more grounded in yourself.

For: chronic tension · anxiety · disconnection · burnout
03 · Parts work

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

We all have different "parts" of ourselves. Some protective, some critical, some carrying old pain. IFS creates space to listen to these parts with compassion, helping you heal old wounds and find a more centered sense of self.

For: inner critic · self-worth · perfectionism · complex family dynamics
04 · Depth work

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

For some, ketamine therapy can open the door to deep healing. In a safe, guided process, KAP supports insights and breakthroughs that may not feel accessible through talk therapy alone, allowing you to move forward with greater clarity.

For: treatment-resistant depression · anxiety · PTSD · spiritual disconnection

What to expect, every step.

Questions clients often ask.

Do you take insurance? +
I'm an out-of-network provider and can provide a superbill for reimbursement through your insurance. Many PPO plans cover a portion of out-of-network therapy. I'm happy to walk you through this on our consultation call.
How often do we meet? +
Most clients meet weekly, especially early on. Some transition to every other week as we progress. We can determine cadence based on your specific goals.
Is ketamine therapy safe? +
KAP is conducted in a clinical setting with medical oversight and extensive preparation. I only work with ketamine-assisted therapy in partnership with licensed medical providers, and we always begin with thorough screening and integration planning.
Do you see clients virtually or in person? +
Both. Talk therapy, EMDR, IFS, and somatic work can be effective in either format. KAP sessions are always in person, in Del Mar. I'll share location details and availability on our consultation.
How long does therapy take? +
It depends on what you're working through and what you're hoping for. Some clients come for a specific issue and feel resolution in a few months; others do longer-term depth work. We'll revisit goals together as we go. There's no set timeline.
